The popularity of sustainable floral design continues to grow. This year, our workshops return with a new focus on Hungarian-made ikebana pebble vases. This approach uses significantly fewer flowers than classical modern floral design—an important advantage as flower prices rise. Rooted in Eastern traditions such as Japanese ikebana, it emphasizes harmony, asymmetry, and the thoughtful use of negative space. The pebble vase’s built-in structure securely supports stems and branches, offering both technical precision and unique aesthetic possibilities.

A New Direction in Sustainable Floral Design


During the workshop, participants will learn:

  • The decorative possibilities of the pebble vase in modern floral design, from simple arrangements to more complex compositions

  • How to use these designs for home décor as well as special occasions and celebrations

  • How to select suitable botanical materials—flowers, branches, and seed pods—to achieve strong visual impact with fewer elements

  • Proper use of the pebble vase, including stem-securing methods of varying thicknesses.

  • The conscious use of negative space and its role in creating balance

  • How to adapt arrangements to different seasons, moods, and occasions

  • Principles of sustainable floral design: working with fewer flowers while creating long-lasting, meaningful compositions

  • Inspiration for applying this technique in homes, modern interiors, and event décor




✔ The price includes the basic materials (floral material,vase, accessories, packaging material/ bag, ribbon),soft beverages, snacks and a small gift from us. You can take your arrangement home with you at the end.

✔ We provide the tools, apron and gloves.

✔ Limited number: max. 7 people.

✔ Duration: approx. 2 hours.

✔ Language: Hungarian, English. The workshops are held in English or Hungarian depending on the participants.

✔ Gift cards, which can be purchased on our website, can be used towards all workshops.

✔ Private floral workshops at your location of choice is also possible with prior arrangement

 Note: If you sign up for one of our workshops but cannot come, you can cancel 5 days before the event by email or phone. You can also transfer participation to someone else.

Namu reserves the right to cancel any workshop for any reason (usually low attendance- min 3 person). In case of full cancellation, all customers will be notified 24 hours before the workshop and have the option of: requesting a credit for a future session of equal or lesser value, or using the amount paid in our store, or receiving a full refund.
